Aaron Stern

The work of photographer Aaron Stern often portrays “a feeling of emptiness and void, loss, and, at other times, [feelings] of love and all different types of relationships.” Following the success of his first book, "Everyone Must Be Announced" (2012), which depicted live performances by iconic musicians, Stern released his second major publication and deeply personal monograph "I Woke Up In My Clothes" in 2014. His work has been exhibited in institutions such as the International Center of Photography (New York), Milk Gallery (New York), Paris Photo (Los Angeles), and the Chateau Marmont (West Hollywood, CA). He has also collaborated with Dazed & Confused, The New York Times’ T Magazine, and L’Officiel Hommes. Stern is based in Los Angeles and New York.
