Amelia Bauer’s (b.1979, Santa Fe, NM) work runs the gamut from objects made of lace and inlaid wood to carefully-staged photographs in the lunar landscapes of the southwest. She has exhibited at Phillips de Pury Shop (New York), the National Museum of American Art at the Smithsonian (Washington, DC), Tomato House (Brooklyn), RBcontemporary (Milan), and De Soto (Los Angeles). Her work is in the permanent collection of The Albuquerque Museum and SFMoMA and has been published in Whitewall, Muse, and Dossier. In 2007, the band Department of Eagles used one of her photographs as the cover art for their album “In Ear Park.” Bauer is currently based in Brooklyn.
