Blair Thurman

Blair Thurman demonstrates a visual intelligence that places his craftsmanship front and center, whether it be his iconic track paintings, winner’s circles, or effortless light sculptures. For many years he assisted the late Nam June Paik, where he developed an awareness of information overkill and a deep understanding of neon. He once referred to Yayoi Kusama’s paintings as having “hallucinatory integrity,” a term easily applicable to his own artwork. Thurman’s work has been shown at Gagosian (London), Karma (Amagansett, NY), Half Gallery (New York), and Galerie Frank Elbaz (Paris), among others.
