Brian Belott

Brian Belott's exhibition history includes a three-person show at CANADA (New York), a two-person show at Fredericks and Freiser (New York), and a show curated by Torey Thornton at OHWOW (Los Angeles). Other exhibitions include a solo show at The Journal Gallery (Brooklyn), a group show at Gavin Brown’s Enterprise (New York), a group show at Venus Over Manhattan (New York), and a two-person show with Joe Bradley at Retrospective Gallery (Hudson, New York). Belott has mounted several major solo and two-person exhibitions at LOYAL (Sweden), Galerie Zurcher (Paris), CANADA (New York), and Kenny Schachter Contemporary (New York). Museum shows include Musée d’Art moderne de Saint-Etienne (Saint-Etienne, France), MACRO Museum (Rome); and Museum of Modern Art (New York). Belott's practice encompasses a rich vocabulary of drawing, sound, paper collage and book making (a large collection of which are included in MOMA collection), sculpture, frozen sculpture, painting on glass, and performance. Brian Belott was born in 1973 in East Orange, NJ and lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
