Mel Kadel

Mel Kadel works with coffee-stained paper, micron .005 pens, ink, pencil, and blades to meticulously render, cut, and arrange intricate drawings and patterns that have garnered the attention of Adult Swim, The Bird & The Bee, Brushfire Records, The New Yorker, and LA Times Magazine. Kadel has exhibited worldwide at Merry Karnowky (Los Angeles), Fuse Gallery (New York), MOHS (Copenhagen), Richard Heller Gallery (Santa Monica), and Subliminal Projects (Los Angeles). In 2012, she was featured alongside Ed Ruscha and Ed Templeton in “Milk & Honey: Contemporary Art in California,” a collection of work by Californian artists. Originally from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Kadel now lives and works in Los Angeles.
