Michael Kagan


Drop the Hammer 
(2014) and Mankind (2014) were our first collaborations with Michael Kagan, followed by Mankind (2016) and Rocket Boom (2017), a unique series of 9 silkscreens Kagan created in his studio. 

Michael Kagan (b. 1980, Virginia Beach, VA) has held solo exhibitions at Almine Rech (London, Brussels), Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art, Bill Brady Gallery (Miami), and Joshua Liner Gallery (New York). In 2014, the Smithsonian commissioned three large-scale paintings from him based on their Air and Space Archives. Kagan’s work is in the collections of the Hall Collection (Reading, VT), Maezawa Collection (Chiba, Japan), Maki Collection (Tokyo), Gemini Trust Company (New York, NY), Fidelity Investments Corporate Contemporary Art Collection (Boston, MA) Founders Fund (San Francisco) and Jacob & Co. (New York) among others. A monograph of his work was released in 2019 by ARTBOOK | DAP. Kagan currently lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.
